Daniel R. Burkhard

Daniel R. Burkhard always loved science fiction and fantasy. He began reading the science fiction and fantasy books from his parent’s bookshelf while still in elementary school. On at least one occasion, one of his elementary school teachers asked why his parents would let him “read this crap,” and that helped solidify his love for science fiction and fantasy.

During his childhood, he lived in a simple cabin on the side of a mountain in Alaska. Those experiences without running water or electricity are experiences he draws from in his writing.

When he is not writing, he enjoys playing board games and practicing karate with his family.
